Find your trim from one photo.

Photograph the cut end. Trim Scan outlines the piece and suggests matching catalogue profiles. The calibration sheet adds a size reference, but you can scan without one.

Prints on Letter or A4, landscape, at Actual size / 100%. Black-and-white is fine. Optional: a toonie in the circle double-checks the print size. Stand a thin slice of the trim (under 10 mm tall) in the box. White or primed trim? Use the dark sheet.

No printer? Continue to the camera. The result will distinguish shape-only suggestions from measurements.

Photograph the cut end

One photo. No hand tracing.

With the sheet, keep all the round targets in the photo (v4: eight black bullseyes; older sheets: four orange or grey dots) and set the cut end inside the box. Without it, use a clear background and photograph the end of the trim.

If the sheet is not detected, the scanner can still match by shape without inventing millimetres. A tape measurement is optional after capture.

Photos are processed in your browser and are not uploaded or stored. Catalogue matches are candidates to compare against the actual profile, not guaranteed identification.


How do I get a measured result?
  1. Tap Print sheet (Letter or A4, landscape, Actual size). Optional: put a toonie in the circle and the app double-checks the print size itself, or measure the printed ruler and enter what it reads.
  2. Put the cut face inside the box and keep all four round corner dots in the photo. Grey dots from a black-and-white printer work.
  3. Easiest: tap Guided camera, line the sheet’s box up with the green frame, hold still — it takes the photo itself when the phone is square.
  4. Or take one clear photo. The scanner checks image resolution before reporting any calibrated measurement.
  5. The trim face is raised above the paper. Sheet-based size remains a reference to verify against the physical piece.
What do the match results mean?
A measured difference is the average millimetre difference between the traced outline and catalogue drawing; it is not a percentage or a guarantee. Shape-only suggestions have no calibrated size behind them. Several SKUs can share a profile but differ in material or length.
