This is the click-by-click capture. For snap-and-match, use Trim Scan.
Use the printable A4 landscape calibration sheet at 100% / Actual Size for a perspective-corrected side profile. Confirm the 100 mm print-check line with a ruler before scanning. If your cut end is taller than the 110 mm capture window, select another capture method instead of forcing it to fit. You can also use a ruler or known height for a quick side-profile scale, or record visible detail heights from a straight-on photo of installed trim.
Your photo stays in this browser. Trim Scan converts your clicks into calibrated measurements and downloads the JSON locally; it does not transmit or store the source photo.

Approximate mode: keep the ruler and trim on the same plane and photograph them square-on. One measured line scales both axes, but cannot remove perspective distortion.
2D limitation: photograph the installed trim straight-on. This records overall face height and the vertical spacing of visible detail boundaries only. It cannot identify projection depth, relief, undercuts, or an exact side-profile match.
Use the photo of your sample inside the printed calibration rectangle. All four orange corner targets must be visible.

Click along the profile's outline, back edge to face edge, following the silhouette. Trace the whole cut end, corner to corner — a partial trace cannot be compared against catalogue profiles. Click Finish when done.
