You opened this from inside another app. Facebook, Instagram and Messenger use their own browser, which cannot add anything to a home screen. Tap the menu at the top and choose Open in Chrome (or Safari), then the install option appears.

This page stops recording when your screen turns off. A browser cannot read GPS while its page is hidden — that is the platform, not a setting. For drives where the phone is in your pocket, install the native app: Download the Android app. It keeps recording with the screen off.

Nothing to do while driving. The sensors are passive. Stop the drive when you park and the day's kilometres are logged. Roughness only counts while the motion sensor is delivering — the panel says which.

Settings

Always on arms Bumpy Road when you open it. Nothing counts while you are parked; a drive begins by itself once you are moving over 30 km/h, keeps the screen awake while it runs, stops after ten minutes still, and re-arms for the next leg.

What it does not do: run in the background. When the phone locks or you switch apps, the browser stops the sensors. That is how phones treat web apps, and no setting here changes it.

What is collected: location and motion while a drive runs. The trace stays on this phone. Only the day's kilometres and bump counts go to your account.
